Susan Sorensen, Principal
Susan loved marketing before she even knew it had a name. As a kid, she perused packaging and promotion of everything from cologne to cars; liked the TV commercials as much as the shows; learned to deconstruct the organization of dense text to get to the essence. After Cal she worked as an editor at Stanford University School of Medicine to distill and repackage technical/medical information into concise and compelling content for medical professionals, business partners, patients and consumers at large. The rest is history . . .
Susan is a seasoned marketing consultant with success in building awareness, demand and loyalty for consumer-driven medical services and products. For both first-in-category and established brands, her focus is on strategic communications solutions, from conception through implementation and evaluation, that move audiences to action. This entails cogent planning and creative execution, bracketed by astute market insight and metrics.
Susan’s marketing career began as part of the team that pioneered DTC marketing of a new category of medical device for an elective aesthetic procedure. More recently, as VP of Global Marketing for a women’s health company, she worked closely with her corporate, R&D, clinical and regulatory colleagues to launch the company and its device. She conceived a new business initiative and brand strategy that added value and visibility among consumers and physicians while also serving to distinguish the company in its steadfast regulatory compliance.
